Ingredients:
mutton. 1 kg
Basmati rice. 1 kg
Ghee / Oil. 1 cup
Carrots. 1 cup
raisin. 1/4 cup
Sugar . 1 tablespoon
Salt. According to taste
Water. As required
Brown onion. 2 Medium
Garlic Ginger Paste. 1 tablespoon
cumin. 1 teaspoon
Black paper. 1/2 teaspoon
Clove. 4 to 5
Green cardamom. 2 to 3
Black cardamom. 1
Method :
Wash and soak the rice. Then cook more than half and add salt and bring to boil.
Cumin, cloves, green cardamom, black cardamom and black pepper grind to powder.
Fine chop the carrots and fry them in a tablespoon of ghee, add a teaspoon of sugar and put separately.
Remove the raisins by frying them in a spoonful of ghee with sugar.
Heat ghee, add brown onion, garlic and ginger paste and fry. Then put meat in it and fry.
When the meat changes color, add salt and a tablespoon add crushed spice powder, fry and then add two glasses of water and cook in pressure cooker for 15 minutes until the meat tender.
Now add fried carrots, fried raisins, crushed spice powder and rice on top and cook on low heat for 10 minutes. And enjoy the hot Afghani palao.
