Tarka Daal
Ingredients:
Split gram lentil 125 grams
Split orange lentil 125 grams
Salt. to taste
Red chilli powder. 1/2 teaspoon
Turmeric. 1/2 teaspoon
Garlic. 5 clove
Ginger. 1/2 teaspoon
Cumin. 1 teaspoon
Green chilli. 5
Tarka Ingredients:
cumin. 1 teaspoon
Dry red chilli. 3 to 4
Curry patta. 8 to 10 leaves
Mustard seeds. 1/2 teaspoon
Ginger garlic. 1 teaspoon
Chop Onion 1/4 cup
Oil. 1/4 cup
Method :
Wash gram lentils and red lentils, add garlic, ginger, salt, chilli, cumin, green chillies and turmeric and boil.
Lightly saute chopped onion in1/4 cup of oil, then add garlic and ginger. Add white cumin, mustard seeds, red chilli and curry leaves and prepare the tarka. Add tarka to the daal.
Serve with chapatti / rice.
